There's no universal best time, but there are patterns for Indian audiences that are worth starting from.

General patterns for India (IST)

DayGood windows
Monday – Friday7:00–9:00 am, 1:00–2:00 pm, 7:30–10:30 pm
Saturday11:00 am–1:00 pm, 8:00–11:00 pm
Sunday10:00 am–12:00 pm, 6:00–10:00 pm

Evenings are consistently the strongest across niches. People scroll after work, after dinner and before sleep.

By audience

  • Students: late evening, 9 pm to midnight.
  • Working professionals: early morning commute and 8–10 pm.
  • Homemakers and recipe audiences: late morning and mid-afternoon.
  • Business-to-business: weekday lunch hours.

Find your own best time

If you have a professional account, open Insights → Total followers → Most active times. It shows the hours your followers are online for each day. Post about 30–60 minutes before the peak so your content is fresh when the crowd arrives.
