Why do Instagram followers drop, and how does a refill work?

Almost every account loses followers now and then. When you've bought followers, drops are more noticeable, so it helps to understand where they come from.

Why followers drop

• Instagram's clean-ups. Instagram regularly removes accounts it considers fake or inactive. If some of your followers were on those accounts, your count drops.
• Low-quality sources. Cheap followers often come from accounts that get removed quickly. That's why budget services carry a warning about drops.
• Normal unfollows. Real people unfollow too, especially after a change in what you post.

How much drop is normal?

For budget services, losing 10–30% over a month isn't unusual. For services labelled "low drop" or "non-drop", it should be a few percent at most.

What a refill guarantee means

A refill guarantee says: if your count drops below what you ordered during the refill period, the supplier will top it back up for free. Periods are usually 30 days, 60, 90, 365 days or lifetime.

On Boostpe you can request a refill yourself:

1. Go to Orders.
2. Find a completed order for a service with refill.
3. Tap Refill.

Refills generally start within 24–72 hours. Most suppliers only allow one refill request every 24 hours per order.

Cases a refill doesn't cover

• You changed your username after ordering (the link no longer matches).
• You made the account private.
• You ordered a no-refill service.
• The drop happened after the refill period ended.

How to minimise drops

Pick services labelled non-drop or with a refill period, avoid the very cheapest options for important accounts, and keep your profile public. The non-drop followers page lists only the stable services.
